So you want to own an auto racing track? This particular dirt track comes with a home and a pool.
Doe Run Raceway is a 1/6-mile dirt track in Doe Run, Missouri, near Farmington.
The track closed mid-season in 2013. It then opened back up the following year.
Bobby Johnson was the owner and promoter of Doe Run Raceway. He died back in December 1, 2015 at the age of 55 and the track has been closed ever since.
Doe Run isn’t the only race track in town. Just 10 miles away, sits St. Francois County Raceway.
That’s not a bad thing. Racers and fans want options. And when two race tracks sit near each other, both tend to grow and compliment each other.
When the track originally closed, SFCR went to running two nights a week. The demand is there.
Since closing, the Earth initially began to reclaim the land at a rapid rate. Grass grew through the race track, the grandstands and surrounded an ambulance that remained on the site.
Though, it appears the track has been cleaned up a little bit as it sits on the market.
The race track was initially listed in June 2018 at $275,000 according to MLS records. However, the track listing has just been reduced to $239,900. The reduction in price is as recent as Monday.
