Cosworth FA20 Coming Soon
Last year, my brother almost purchased a beautiful Subaru BRZ. The problem, beautiful needs a partnership with fast and fast it is not. The Cosworth FA20 looks like a solution to this problem. Cosworth have now grabbed millions of auto enthusiast eyeballs with the teaser video shown below.
The Cosworth FA20 plan and program are still slightly unclear. Here is the direct quote from the Cosworth FA20 website.

For 2014 we are bringing this to our Performance Parts range – providing complete performance upgrade kits that have been designed and validated as a system to provide guaranteed levels of power and reliability.
First for the Cosworth Power Package treatment ..? the FA20 engine platform … coming soon.”
Any F1 fan knows the Cosworth name. Wins galore in the top tier level of motorsports. They stack up 2nd on the all time wins list by engine manufacture, 2nd to only Ferrari.
So, we are all watching and waiting. To see Cosworth as an upgrade to factory engines would be a huge plus. Though the unclear part is if it will be a dealer upgrade or flat aftermarket section of parts.
It wouldn’t be the first time Cosworth has partnered with auto manufactures to improve their engine performance. Each time it draws the same amount of attention because Cosworth flat knows what they are doing.
Cosworth isn’t spoken of much in a NASCAR based market like the United States. However, hop on a plane or a boat if you’re stomach can handle, skip over the pond and the Cosworth name is a popular as Ford, Dodge or Shelby.
