Furniture Row Racing 3 Car Team in Future

The little team from Colorado won’t be so little in the near future. Furniture Row Racing is stepping up their game in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series ranks.

This year they have their single driver, Martin Truex Jr, in a fight for the NASCAR Championship. He need’s some teammate help but he won’t get that until next year.

In 2016, Furniture Row Racing is making the move from Chevrolet to Toyota. The Denver, Colorado team will also be expanding from a 2 car team to a 3 car operation.

However, with the expansion of ‘the little team that could’ coming next year it doesn’t look like they will stop there.

Furniture Row Racing general manager Joe Garone explains to Miss Sprint Cup where the team will be in 5 years.

I see three race teams, with a super strong relationship with Joe Gibbs Racing.

Martin Truex Jr. currently drives the lone No. 78 for the single-car team. Martin Truex Jr advanced to the Championship Round of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. He’s now in a battle with Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motorsports), Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) and Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing).

The other three drivers are all on four car NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams.
