The Elliott Sadler 2016 car will carry OneMain’s familiar No. 1 on his Chevrolet Camaro in 2016 but with a fresh, new paint scheme.  Sadler unveiled this year’s OneMain Chevrolet during a season kickoff dinner Wednesday night in Orlando, Fla.  The new Elliott Sadler 2016 paint scheme can be viewed at below.  It was also confirmed the crew chief will be Kevin Meendering as the No. 1 team vies for the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship.

“We have a lot of exciting things happening already in this new partnership with JRM, and it’s great to be able to retain the number one and have a fresh, fun paint scheme for 2016,” said Sadler, who will begin his 19th season of Xfinity Series competition.  “I’m thrilled to get to work with Kevin as our crew chief next season. He comes highly recommended from Dale (Earnhardt) Jr., and I feel like he will bring a lot to the table to help us get up and running quickly. The season is still a few months out but I’m already looking forward to what Dale Jr. and Kelley (Earnhardt Miller) are putting together for our program.”

Meendering, a 34-year-old native of Grand Rapids Mich., comes to JR Motorsports from Hendrick Motorsports, where he has been an employee since 1999.  Meendering spent the last five seasons as the lead engineer for Earnhardt Jr. and the No. 88 team.  In that time, Earnhardt Jr. notched eight wins, 52 top-five and 96 top-10 finishes, along with four poles.

“This is a great opportunity for Kevin to take the next step in his career,” said Earnhardt Jr., co-owner of JR Motorsports.  “Having worked with him for the past five seasons at Hendrick Motorsports, I know firsthand just how smart he is and what he is going to bring to the team.  It’s another chance for us to utilize the partnership between JR Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports to allow a guy to gain valuable experience at the Xfinity Series level before eventually becoming a crew chief at the Sprint Cup level.”

With the addition of Meendering to the No. 1 OneMain team, JRM’s crew chief stable is complete for the 2016 season.  Jason Burdett will return to the No. 7 BRANDT team with new driver Justin Allgaier.  Second year crew chief Dave Elenz, will lead the charge for the No. 88 team with its rotating lineup of drivers including Alex Bowman, Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick and Kasey Kahne.
