Contact in the final corner sent Martin Truex Jr spinning down the front straight. Keselowski continued on to finish 2nd as Hamlin went untouched, taking the win.
Tension had been building at the front with several late race cautions. Many late race incidents held the field bunched up for many laps. Tensions reached a boiling point on the final green flag lap as Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr were all bumper to bumper going for the win.
Martin Truex Jr stayed high to get a run on race leader Denny Hamlin. However, Brad Keselowski had the exact same plan in store for Truex Jr. That placed both cars in the same lane and resulted in contact.
Brad Keselowski took full blame for the incident. Saying “Anytime you hit someone from behind it’s obviously your fault”.
The two exited cars on pit road. Keselowski immediately went over to Truex to apologize. Truex was asked by a reported what was said. He explain. “Hesaid it was his fault and I said I knew that”.
Adding fuel to the fire. Martin Truex Jr made the mistake of reading twitter comments.
