Jimmie Johnson is the defending NASCAR Cup Series champion. The champ should always have the best looking car and this one has to be close. We think it’s the best looking NASCAR racecar so far.

Several NASCAR drivers will be changing their paint schemes for 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competition. That includes all 4 Hendrick Motorsports drivers who will have a new car design in 2017.

Johnson has one of the best upgrades thus far.

Again… Minimalism wins.

Hendrick Motorsports says, “It’s been a week spent looking ahead for the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion.” Not only was the 2017 Lowes racecar released but the 2017 Jimmie Johnson Kobalt car has been released along with the regular Blue Lowes car. The black Kobalt car will be used at select events.

Hendrick Motorsports released the car along with the statement, “The Champ has a new ride.” The car was first released Wednesday afternoon.

Jimmie Johnson claimed 5 wins last season along with a single pole position. 3 of his wins came in the last 7 races of the year. Nearly a 50% win rate in the last 7 races. Winning the final race of the year crowned him the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion.
