FUEL Racing Series 2017 Schedule – Dirt Late Model Series Prepares for New Season
The FUEL Racing Series 2017 schedule features twelve dirt late model racing events. Four states will be visited by the dirt racing series on the upcoming tour.
With a new racing season upon us, FUEL Racing Series officials are pleased to release the 2017 Schedule. While some additional events are expected to be added in the coming days, FUEL enters its 4th season of competition with much anticipation and a sincere appreciation for each of our host tracks and marketing partners.
The FUEL Racing Series (Fast Unified Engine Late Model) is a southeast U.S. touring Series. The racing program features CT525 & Steel Block Dirt Late Models.
The 2017 FUEL Racing Series schedule get’s underway on April 8th. The 3/8 mile dirt track of Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina will host the season opener.
Eight of the twelve dirt late model events will be hosted in the state of North Carolina. One in South Carolina, one in Virginia and two in Georgia.
The Fuel Racing Series 2017 schedule comes to a close on November 10-11. The series will invade County Line Raceway, another 3/8 mile. The season finale will be hosted in Elm City, NC.
“We’ve had great response thus far”, stated Series Director Jason Atkins.
He continued, “With 3 seasons under our belt, we feel that FUEL has earned a home on the southeast regional touring level. Though a lot of work still remains to complete our 2017 plan, we are very pleased with the response and support that we have received to this point. We have great track partners that host our events and our marketing partners continue to give us the resources necessary to be successful.”
An event at Modac Raceway is expected to be added.
2016 dirt late model champion Jonathan Edwards claimed the previous season titled.
Additional announcements (Rules, Championship Format, Etc) are forthcoming. FUEL Racing Series membership applications for those chasing the 2017 series championship will soon be available as well.
