Nature’s Bakery will return to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series – Sharing placement on two racecars
Stewart-Haas Racing has reached an equitable agreement with Nature’s Bakery that will see the maker of on-the-go snacks serve as a primary sponsor for four Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races split between drivers Danica Patrick and Clint Bowyer.
Back in May 2017, Nature’s Bakery refused to pay Stewart-Haas Racing for their agreed upon marketing placement in the NASCAR Cup Series. A letter was sent to Stewart-Haas terminating their sponsorship with the team.
The races where Nature’s Bakery will adorn Patrick’s No. 10 Ford Fusion and Bowyer’s No. 14 Ford Fusion will be announced at a later date.
As part of this new agreement, all lawsuits between Stewart-Haas Racing and Nature’s Bakery have been dropped.
“It’s gratifying to see a difficult situation get resolved in a professional manner that suits all parties,” said Brett Frood, president, Stewart-Haas Racing.
Frood continued, “Together, we worked diligently to find an equitable solution to our collective challenges.”
“I am a longtime motorsports fan and, particularly, a fan of NASCAR,” said Dave Marson, founder of Nature’s Bakery. “Our partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing began with direct, open conversations and that foundation allowed us to reach this agreement.”
Previously the Nature’s Bakery NASCAR Sponsorship involved Danica Patrick exclusively. The new deal includes another Stewart-Haas Racing driver, Clint Bowyer.
Back in May, Stewart-Haas claimed the team owed them $31.7 Million in unpaid sponsorship payment. Dollar wise, no word on what the new sponsorship agreement entails.
Thus far in 2017, Danica Patrick has an average finish of 28.1. Clint Bowyer has an average finish of 11.5. Clint has collected two top 5’s and five top 10’s after 11 races.
