Bad Keselowski wins stage 1 at Michigan International Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series

Stage 1 Results: 1. Brad Keselowski; 2. Denny Hamlin; 3. Elliott Sadler; 4. Paul Menard; 5. William Byron; 6. Tyler Reddick; 7. Ty Dillon; 8. Spencer Gallagher; 9. Cole Custer; 10. Justin Allgaier;

A caution for debris came out late in stage 2. That shook up the entire field. Brad Keselowski went to the pits. Other drives decided to remain on track.

The stage finished under yellow. Elliott Sadler coasted to his stage win at Michigan International Speedway.

Stage 2 Results: 1. Elliott Sadler; 2. Brennan Poole; 3. Justin Allgaier; 4. Brendan Gaughan; 5. Blake Koch; 6. Ross Chastain; 7. Brandon Jones; 8. Harrison Rhodes; 9. Josh Williams; 10. Denny Hamlin;

A caution for debris was flown late in the final stage as well. With the field spread out, caution. That caution was dropped with just 13 laps remaining.

Most of the field stayed on the racetrack, no pitting. 9 laps shootout. Denny Hamlin leads the field to green.

Side by side into turn 1. Big side draft from Brad Keselowski. Keselowski to the lead. William Byron is on the bottom. He completely snuck in there.

Names are made here. The rookie driver, William Byron, is taking the Cup Series regulars to school. Denny Hamlin gets a big draft from Brad Keselowski down the back straight-away. He sweeps around, move Hamlin to 2nd.

6 laps remain in this race. Denny Hamlin is catching Byron! This is going to be a great finish. Matt Tifft spins, yellow. They will rack the field, again.

Green, 3 laps to go. Brad Keselowski gives a big shove to Denny Hamlin on the bottom. Not enough though, Bryon has a shove of his own, from Elliott Sadler. Byron back to the lead.

Byron pushes at the exit of turn 4. Denny Hamlin is there. He’s on his bumper. Denny Hamlin low, Byron runs him all the why to the white line on the back straight.

Side-draft after side-draft, this is like Daytona. They continue to trade the lead. They rub fenders off the final corner!

Denny Hamlin is going to beat him to the line! BY INCHES, Denny Hamlin is going to top the Michigan Xfinity results sheet.

William Byron speaks post-race, “We were battling really hard. Denny just schooled me at the end.”

Denny Hamlin responds to that comment, “I don’t know about that. He’s good in his own right.”

Kyle Busch talks about his up and down day, “Uh. I don’t know, made something happen at the end of the day.”

Brad Keselowski talks about the push at the end of the race, “I tore my car up at the start of the race. That wasn’t helping anybody.”

10 lead changes among 5 drivers today at Michigan International Speedway.

Elliott Sadler regains the NASCAR Xfinity Series point lead.
