David Higdon, NASCAR VP Leaving After 6 Years

NASCAR marketing co-leader David Higdon gives notice that he’s leaving the sport

David Higdon is the NASCAR VP of Integrated Marketing Communications. He is leaving the sanctioning body after a six-year run.

He is scheduled to continue his work with NASCAR through the end of the month. June 30th, 2017 will be his final day in the NASCAR offices.

The announcement was made via social media. Higdon stated, “After 6 years at NASCAR, I gave notice today & depart 6/30”

He continued, “A fun ride, but excited abt mix of personal/career pursuits ahead. Stay tuned…”

David Higdon has officially announced his next move after leaving the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing.

He has worked more sports than auto racing in the past. Golf and tennis includes.

Higdon will continue his other ventures.

Those include; BOD Chair of the University of Oregon’s Warsaw Sports Marketing Center, Exec Committee member for the Davis Cup and FedEx Cup and World Golf Foundation’s diversity program.
