85 laps in stage 1 and stage 2. 130 laps in the final stage. 300 total laps at Bristol.

It’s an all Cup Series front row. Kyle Busch and Joey Logano will start from row 1. Dale Earnhardt Jr is making a special NXS appearance as well in his final Bristol Weekend. Dale Jr rolls off 17th.

Round 1

Green flag, Kyle Busch leads the field into turn 1. Joey Logano tried to hang with him on the outside, he bailed at the exit of turn 2.

Justin Allgaier is having no issues on the top. He rolls to the outside of Logano in 3-4. Allgaier moves back to the bottom, clear. He takes the spot at the entry to turn 1.

Lap 12, caution. David Starr is in the wall. He just went straight in turn 1. Likely a mechanical issue.

Green, Kyle Busch leads into turn 1. Justin Allgaier is still making the middle work. He’s hanging in there! He’s forced his nose to the highside at the exit of turn 2. Even in 3-4. He clears him in 3-4. Allgaier to the lead.

Allgaier remains in the middle. Kyle Busch fights back, dives back to the inside. Allgaier holds him off and moves back to the bottom. Kyle Busch is now experimenting, he jumps to the top, he’s running the wall. It’s the first time KY has got off the bottom and he’s running down Allgaier. At his bumper, Allgaier moves to the top to block.

Lap 24, caution. Ryan Reed and Aric Almirola are in trouble. They were in a 3 wide sitiuation with Spencer Gallagher at the exit of turn 4. Almirola didn’t know that, he came up as if there was only 1 car to his outside. He was turned nose first into the fence.

Green, Allgaier gets the jump. He remains high in turn 1. Kyle Busch goes low. Allgaier wins that battle. But it’s not over, even again into turn 1. Kyle Busch on the inside, Allgaier bottoms out. The #7 pushes up the banking, he has to lift to avoid the wall at the exit of turn 2. Busch back to the lead.

Lap 40, caution. Ryan Reed has more issues. Flat tire and into the wall again.

Green, Busch picks the top. Justin Allgaier rolls the bottom. He’s clear off turn 2, by inches. He doesn’t slam the door shut, too early for that. Busch rolls by on the outside and back to the lead. The field has migrated to the top of the track.

5 to go in stage 1, Kyle Busch leads by 3.3 seconds. But there’s some great racing for 5th on back. Slide job city back there. Dale Earnhardt Jr has tried to get by Elliott Sadler, multiple times. Each time he dives to the bottom he gets freight trained and has to start all over again.

Stage 1 Results: 1. Kyle Busch; 2. Justin Allgaier; 3. Joey Logano; 4. Daniel Suarez; 5. Tyler Reddick; 6. Austin Dillon; 7. Brennan Poole; 8. Elliott Sadler; 9. Dale Earnhardt Jr; 10. Ty Dillon;

Stage 2

The field hits pit road. Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Ty Dillon and Brendon Gaughan all get hit with speeding penalties.

Allgaier and Suarez lead the field. Allgaier, no issues, he clears him before turn 1.

Lap 100, Kyle Busch is slicing through the field, 3 wide every corner. He restarted 29th in line, 19th position, tail of lappers. He’s now 17th. KY radio, “This thing doesn’t stop very good. You go to the brakes and it just keeps going.”

JJ Yaley slammed on the brakes, jumped sideways down the front straight as he quickly approached a lapper. Joey Logano was nearly collected. They all continue.

Lap 126, caution. Brandon Jones lost it at the exit of turn 2. He slid to the inside wall. Minor damage, flat tire. He was inside the top 10. Joey Logano hits pit road.

Green, Justin Allgaier takes the lead in turn 1. Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr are 3 wide for 10th. Joey Logano has a flat tire, he made contact on that restart.

Battle for the lead at the front. Suarez pulls under Allgaier. Now he moves to the top. He gets a run on Allgaier at the exit, a bump. Suarez lifts and allows him to gather it up.

23 to go, Suarez has chased Allgaier back down. He dives to the inside. Even at the exit. Slide job, Suarez drives it in hard, slides up the track and takes the top away from Allgaier.

Allgaier dives off the banking and to the bottom. They swapped lanes, even again. Suarez makes it work on the top, he clears him on the outside and dives to the bottom in turn 1. New leader.

Kyle Busch is around Allgaier for 2nd. He’s on the back bumper of the leader. To the bottom, new leader, Kyle Busch. He makes it look so easy.

Trouble for Dale Earnhardt Jr. He climbed over the marbles and scrapped the wall all the way through the corner. No real damage.

Kyle Busch wins stage 2.

Stage 2 Results: 1. Kyle Busch; 2. Justin Allgaier; 3. Daniel Suarez; 4. Elliott Sadler; 5. Austin Dillon; 6. Brennan Poole; 7. Daniel Hemric; 8. Tyler Reddick; 9. Ty Dillon; 10. Cole Custer;

Stage 3

Kyle Busch loses 2 spots on pit road. Suarez exits 1, then Allgaier.

Suarez leads into turn 1. Kyle Busch gives a bump to Elliott Sadler. It’s got him fired up, Elliott Sadler is looking for the lead. He’s there. New leader, Elliott Sadler.

Lap 198, Busch is around Suarez. He sets sights on the leader. Busch runs high, Sadler low. Busch to the outside, clear. New leader, Kyle Busch.

Lap 216, caution. Tommy Joe Martins is the wall. Sometime buckled on the left front suspension. The field hits pit road.

Green, Daniel Hemric gives Kyle Busch a bump at the flagstand. Kyle Busch to the lead, Hemric 2nd. Ty Dillon to the inside of Hemric, move him to 2nd. Allgaier restarted 3rd, he now runs 8th. The bottom lane didn’t move.

50 to go, Suarez is catching Kyle Busch in lapped traffic, the gap is down to .4 seconds. Busch is around the lappers, he begins opening the gap. Busch now leads by 1.4 seconds.

40 to go, big issues for Brendan Gaughan. He has a steady tire rub that won’t go away. He was inside the top 15. Gaughan to pit road, under green.

20 to go, 12 cars remain on the lead lap.

16 to go, caution. Brendan Gaughan is in the wall in turn 1. Jeb Burton was 3 wide and in the middle. His hood buckled on the right hand side. Possibly a blown tire, that sent Jeb up the banking and into Gaughan. Gaughan is totaled, Jeb Burton has to find a fire truck, he’s still rolling but the right front is on fire.

Joey Logano hits pit road. He putting on some slightly less-used scuffs. These tires have only 15 laps on them.

10 to go, Kyle Busch picks the outside lane, green flag. Kyle Busch leads into turn 1.

6 to go, William Byron has a flat tire, no caution.

Kyle Busch wins for the 2nd night in a row at Bristol. It’s his 9th NXS win at Bristol, his 91st in the Xfinity Series.

Kyle Busch has said he’ll stop racing the Xfinity Series when he gets to 100 wins. Does it fell like the countdown is on? The race winner comments, “I know for the fans it is.” Then, he follows that with a fart sound.
