Saturday’s event at Portsmouth Raceway Park canceled

Weather forces cancellation of upcoming Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event

PORTSMOUTH, OH (September 1, 2017) – Saturday night’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned, Bob Miller Memorial at Portsmouth Raceway Park has been canceled. With the forecast for continued heavy rain throughout the overnight and much of the day on Saturday, Speedway and Series officials have agreed to cancel the event.

“We hate to lose this event in honor of Bob Miller,” said Rick Schwallie, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Director. “However, heavy rain from the remnants of Hurricane Harvey look to continue well into the afternoon on Saturday. We look forward to seeing everyone at Tyler County Speedway on Sunday.”

On Sunday night, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will invade Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV for the 49th Annual Hillbilly Hundred. The event will include a complete show of: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a $25,000-to-win, 100-lap main event. For more information, visit: www.tylercountyspeedwayonline.com.
