Round 1

Green flag is out, 20 minutes in round 1. 24 cars will transfer to round 2.

Carl Long is the first car to turn a lap. He circles the track at 30.502.

12 minutes remain, Erik Jones jumps to the top of the board at 28.738. Carl Long is the first car outside the cut line.

“The margin of error is so much less here cause you’re already running so close to the wall. As we just saw Brandon Jones find that out off of turn 2,” Jones hits the wall just as Elliott Sadler was speaking on the track.

4 minutes remain, Brandon Jones has tagged the wall. He pushed high on the exit. He crunched the right rear on the wall. Backup car? He’s 27th on the board.

“They’ll probably try and fix this one. I think our backup is a little worse than the one we got here. It’ll be fun for sure,” states Brandon Jones.

Jeremy Clements picked up his first win last week. He did it in a 2008 chassis. What did he do with his winner’s check? The team bought an upgraded racecar. His 2013 racecar makes a debut this weekend.

Unfortunately, he’s 25th and time just expired on the clock. Clements missed the transfer spot by 1 position.
