But, that’s the problem. It’s only one race. The fans want more, the drivers want more and so do the teams. After all, it’s expensive to build a one-off truck for just one race.

Chase Briscoe is now making the call for more dirt tracks on the NASCAR schedule. He has ideas of where that 2nd event might be hosted.

“With the pits, the infield and everything. Knoxville [Raceway] would obviously, I think I have to be at the top,” Chase Briscoe told the Morning Drive crew on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio.

“They have infield pitting and you can do pit road there already. From a facility standpoint, they have the capacity to seat a ton of people. So, I think Knoxville would certainly have to be at the top of that list.”

Knoxville Raceway is a big place. They have grandstand seating on both the front and back straight-away. The Iowa dirt track currently has a seating capacity of 24,172.

“I think the Charlotte Dirt Track, honestly would be another one were we could put on a really good race.”

“I think a place where you wouldn’t expect it, might be a Lawrenceburg Speedway in Indiana. Or Calistoga [Speedway] out in California. [Those are] two other places where you might be able to host an event like that.”

“I would love to see another dirt race. I think the fans really get behind it. I know there’s a lot of people that question if another one would kinda hurt Eldora. But, I don’t think so. I think the fans love seeing something different. Just adding another one would make it even better.”

Chase Briscoe currently drives for Brad Keselowski Racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The team will be closing at the end of the 2017 racing season.
