New NASCAR Manufactures: There’s a lot of talk about it

But, how’s that going? Is is true?

Several months ago Steve O’Donnell stated that NACSAR was in discussions with new auto makers. However, since we haven’t heard much detail.

Brian France, the NASCAR CEO gives us an update.

How many new manufactures is NASCAR talking to?

“Well, there’s two,” Brian France states.

“There’s two that have shown a lot of interest and our examining just how you go about it. It’s hard to do.”

“It’s hard to come in and get the right teams. They all wanna come in and compete at a very high level, as fast as they can. Which makes the challenge even harder.”

“But, there are two. We’ll see how it play’s out.”

Would you like to add both?

“Our preference would be to add one more,” states Brian France.

“Interestingly, the other car manufactures are open to that too. They like to compete themselves, with one another. They take a lot of pride in that.”

“My hope is, it’ll work out that we’ll add a 4th [manufacture].”
