Where does Brandon Shappard want his career to go?

Brandon Sheppard: “I don’t even like to think about an asphalt career or a NASCAR career”

Brandon Sheppard claimed 25 wins in 2017 via the Rocket1 Racing car. That’s a winning percentage of nearly 35%. If the #1 car was at the track there was a high he won the race that night.

This weekend, a bow was tied to the season. Sheppard was crowned the 2017 World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series champion.

He’s the current driver for the Rocket Chassis house car. That was a new position for him at the start of the 2017 season after switching from Best Performance Motorsports.

Where do you want your career to go?

“Well I mean, from where it started, to where it is now I’m pretty much where I wanted to go, right now,” Brandon Sheppard tells RacingNews.co at PA Motor Speedway.

“I mean, obviously, we always got bigger goals. You always want to take it farther.”

What are those goals?

“As far as my goals, my dream, this is it, right here.”

“Drivin, havin’ a ride. In my eyes and I’m sure in a lot of peoples eyes it’s one of the best rides in the country. This is it. If I can keep this up and keep doin’ this I’ll be happy.”

“I don’t even like to think about an asphalt career or a NASCAR career or anything like that. It’s just so much money.”

“I don’t think that kind of money is in the sport that we’re in right now. There’s nobody that’s going to pick you up and take you to the next level like that, in our sport.”

“I guess, at the end of the day, I’m where I want to be.”
