NASCAR Xfinity Series starting lineup for Phoenix Raceway on November 11, 2017

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is next to tackle the Phoenix International Raceway. The race will begin in a few hours, first they must qualify.

The JR Motorsports pit crew is stuck in transit. They plane is on on the ground in Oklahoma. The over the wall crew might not make it to the track today. They are working to find a fill-in crew.

The race is scheduled for 3:30 ET. The Ticket Galaxy 200 will air live on NBC.

Round 1

Brendan Gaughan to the top of the timing board. I guess, he’s still fired up from the altercation after last week’s race.

6 minutes remain, William Byron to the top. 6 of the 8 playoff drivers are in the top 8 positions. Playoff driver Ryan Reed is in trouble, he’s down in 24th. Elliott Sadler has yet to touch the track. Reed is struggling, sawing on the wheel but he’s up to 15th!

Sadler hits the track. He’s up to 15th. All 8 playoff drivers will likely advance.

Christopher Bell picks up where he left off from the truck race. He wins round 1 of knockout qualifying.

Round 2

10 minute session in round 2. Erik Jones to the top of the board as 7 cars head out early in round 2.

Elliott Sadler things something is wrong with the car. He thought he might have a flat right rear but the tire appears to be up.

6 minutes remain, Byron to the top. He went out at the exact same time in both round thus far. Bell follows, he takes the top spot away.

4 minutes remain, 6 playoff drivers are in the top 12. Sadler is 19th and Reed is 22nd.

1 minute remains, Elliott Sadler is back out. He’s up to 10th. That bumps his teammate Allgaier to the bubble. Allgaier is back out. Allgaier to 3rd! Poole is bumped and Sadler is on the line. Sadler is now bumped. Sadler Poole and Reed will not transfer.

Christopher Bell sweeps both rounds so far.

Round 3

Christopher Bell dominated the truck race last night until a late race incident with his teammate. He’s looking to start on pole in the NXS event. He’s been the car to beat so far. Byron is close.

It’s a 5 minute session in round 3. Matt Tifft is the first car on track. Byron follows, he’s loose but he’s fast. byron to the top. He stays on track to run a 2nd lap for the first time all day, he improves. It’s the fastest lap so far today.

2 minutes remain, Erik Jones to the top. He smokes the field by 2 tenths!

1 min 30 remain, Bell is on track. 7th quick, that’s not going to do it. He’s well off the pace of Erik Jones but so is everyone in the field so far.

With a magic lap, Erik Jones will start from the pole in today’s race.
