Dale Earnhardt Jr drinks beer with the crew until the roof of the car is covered in cans
Dale Earnhardt Jr ran his final race as a full-time driver today at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He finished 25th in the race.
The first thing he did when get back to pit road was hug Rick Hendrick. The second thing he did was shotgun a beer as members of the crew surrounding the car. They all went to drinking, until the roof of the car was covered in cans.
Amy Earnhardt gave her husband a hug and went to the airport. “Moma out,” a crew guys states.
“I’ve had more Bud Heavy standing right here than I’ve had in my life,” Dale Earnhardt Jr says with the Budweiser can in hand.
Previously, Dale Earnhardt Jr fielded a Budweiser sponsored machine. However, he’s a known drinker of Bud Light.
“I had a lot of fun tonight,” Dale Earnhardt Jr told NBC Sports. “Man, I got into the fence late. We were running pretty decent. We had a lot of problems with the car but we made some great adjustments and got the car running pretty good.”
“Right up on the fence. When the sun went down I knew our car was going to come in. That was pretty fun. I hated hitting the wall because we would’ve finished a little bit better. We lost about 10 spots getting that flat. ”
We ran into Truex down the back straight-away because we was high fivin’ him with our race car.

“The deal I had with Rick was if I finish the race with the car in one piece, I get the car and he gets the helmet. I’m going to take this thing back home. It’s got a little scuff here and there. We ran into Truex down the back straight-away because we was high fivin’ him with our race car.”
Martin Truex Jr has just claimed the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series championship.
“I knew that we had finished this race. So, we was gunna meet on pit road with this cooler and have some beers with my team. These guys are like my brothers. These are the friendships I’ll have long beyond my racing days.”
