Danica Patrick is still seeking a Daytona 500 ride

Danica Patrick comments on her search for a ride in the 2018 Daytona 500 and Indy 500

Back at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Danica Patrick announced her retirement from full-time NASCAR racing. In addition, she stated that she would in her career in the 2018 Daytona 500 and the 2018 Indy 500.

She hinted that she would be interested in running those races with the same team. Roger Penske and Chip Ganassi are the two owners which own cars in both divisions of the racing ladder.

During that Homestead weekend, Roger Penske turned down the idea of running Patrick in his cars. He stated that he didn’t think he would add another car on the Indycar side of things.

Chip Ganassi engaged in the conversation. However, at the PRI show he stated that the talks have settled on Patrick running for Chip Ganassi Racing.

So where does that leave Danica Patrick in her search for 2018 rides?

“I thought it was going to be a quicker process, but you can’t rush things,” Danica Patrick stated on ‘The Morning Drive’ via Sirius XM NASCAR Radio.

“I’m a big believer more and more all the time of letting things flow and just letting things take shape in the way that they would. And that’s kind of why I ended where I ended with finishing up my full-time career last year and doing the Daytona 500 and the Indy 500 for this year.”

“I didn’t push anything, I just let things flow and it’s turned out to be just perfect.”
