Dirt track for sale in Cleveland, Tennessee

Cleveland Speedway has gone up for sale. The track is located in Cleveland, Tennessee which is near Chattanooga.

The track is a 1/3 mile dirt oval. The track was originally constructed in 1954. It rests on 23.8 acres of real estate.

The track was once operated by NASCAR World 600 winner Joe Lee Johnson. He ran 55 races in the NASCAR Cup Series collected ten top-10 runs and two wins along the way. His last NASCAR start came in 2962.

In 2014, the track was placed on the auction block. Al Chapman from Georgia placed a bid of $807,100.

This old track received many upgrades in recent years. Of those; parking, new bleachers, updated press boxes as well as updated concession stands.

However, the track has been mostly closed since it went to auction in 2014.

Originally, the asking price for the dirt track was set at $1.8 million. Now, the price has been drastically reduced.
