Practice 1 results from Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series
The first practice is in the books at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Ricky Stenhouse Jr puts his Ford at the top of the board. Larson 2nd and Bubba Wallace was 3rd overall.
The big surprise is Bubba Wallace. Last week the team finished 2nd at Daytona International Speedway. That result doesn’t really come as a surprise to many. However, this week is a 1.5 mile track, the bread and butter of the NASCAR schedule.
Early in practice 1, Bubba Wallace found himself sitting at the top of the board! Richard Perry Motorsports signed an alliance with Richard Childress Racing over the off-season. In addition, RPM made the switch to Chevrolet. It appears that alliance is working well.
