MANSFIELD, OHIO — The Dirt Million was announced last fall and since has quickly received the eyes and ears of the dirt racing industry. Set for August 24th and 25th, the Dirt Million had a guaranteed total purse that started at $200,000 and incorporates the unique ability for the purse to increase to a full $1,000,000 over the course of the next 6 months.
That process officially kicks off on March 1st at 7p.m. est when the full DirtMillion.com website launches. The Dirt Million purse was originally set to kick off at a guaranteed $100,000 to Win and $2,000 to Start ($200,000 total) payout for the main event but through a partnership with Arizona Sport Shirts the event has already received a major boost.
The Dirt Million presented by Arizona Sport Shirts will now kick off at $250,000 as the Indianapolis based company becomes the Official Apparel partner of the major event. Arizona Sport Shirts provides cutting edge apparel and merchandise to the dirt racing industries leading companies, teams and special events. Arizona is known for having “THE ORIGINAL RACING SHIRT SINCE 1974” and their merchandise trailers as well as their GOTTA RACE brand can be found all over the country visiting major dirt racing events.
The boost to $250,000 now sets up a guaranteed $125,000 to win and $2,500 to start Saturday main event. Kicking off the Dirt Million with the Arizona Sport Shirts partnership is exactly what the event is all about.
