NASCAR Trucks will run under the lights at Martinsville

The NASCAR Truck Series race has been postponed

Rain postponed the Camping World Truck Series’ Alpha Energy Solutions 250 at Martinsville Speedway from Saturday until Sunday, with the weather expected to turn into a wintry mix later in the day.

The race will run after Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series’s STP 500 (2 p.m. ET, FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

The red flag came out on Lap 23 of the 250-lap race with Ben Rhodes in the lead. Scattered rain drops were falling when the green flag dropped, and the strength of the precipitation increased in the early laps of the race.

Rhodes started on the pole and led all 23 laps Saturday in the first Truck Series race since March 2 in Las Vegas.

The NASCAR Truck race at Martinsville will air at 7PM et. The truck will be the first of the top 3 NASCAR series’ to race run under the new lights at Martinsville.

Note: Last years Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series ran late into the night. The final few laps were run under the lights. That wasn’t exactly expected.
