Ches Chester won at Screven Motor Speedway
Ches Chester of Twin City, GA took the checkered flag in the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance on Saturday night at Screven Motor Speedway. The victory was Chester’s first career FASTRAK win and earned him a $3,000 pay day.
He took the lead on lap 28 and never looked back in the 40-lap feature. Bob Robertson led the first 15 laps before finishing second, 3.605 seconds behind Chester. Travis Pennington led laps 16 through 27 but fell to seventh. Matthew Nance, Ben Faircloth, and Joshua Bishop rounded out the top five.
Heat race winners were Matthew Nance and Bob Robertson. Travis Pennington was the fastest overall qualifier. Ben Faircloth now leads the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance points with 66. Travis Pennington, Matthew Nance and Ches Chester are tied for second with 64 points each. Joshua Bishop rounds out the top five with 58 points.
The FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance will return to action at Clary’s Motor Speedway on April 13th for $2,000 to win. It will be FASTRAK’s first visit to the Brinkleyville, NC 3/10-mile oval. On April 14th FASTRAK heads to Virginia Motor Speedway with the $3,000 to win King of the Commonwealth, which also includes the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series for $20,000 to win. The following week FASTRAK will hold a Northeast Georgia doubleheader. The weekend kicks off April 20th at Lavonia Speedway with a $2,000 to win race, followed by a $3,000 to win race at Toccoa Raceway on April 21st.
