FASTRAK National Weekly Points delayed two weeks

Carnesville, GA – Officials with FASTRAK have made the decision to delay the start of National Weekly Points by two weeks. As winter weather and rain continue to delay the opening of several FASTRAK sanctioned tracks, the points season will officially begin on April 20th. The National Weekly Championship will run until Labor Day, September 3rd.

“Several of our tracks were planning to begin their season this weekend, in conjunction with the start of the National Points,” said FASTRAK General Manager DJ Irvine, “However, cold temperatures, rain, and even snow, has forced those tracks to push their opening race back.”

Drivers competing for the FASTRAK National Weekly Championship compile their best fifteen finishes throughout the year. The Championship pays $10,000 to win and pays the top ten in National Points. Divisional points will also begin on April 20th. The Divisions were announced earlier this week. The decision was made to postpone the start of the National Weekly Points so that everyone would have the chance to begin the season at the same time.

“Hopefully, Mother Nature will begin to cooperate within the next two weeks and our tracks can get their seasons underway,” continued Irvine, “This weekend alone we had to postpone three ULTIMATE races; one was snowed out, one was froze out, and the other was rained out.”
