2019 Chevrolet Camaro SS to the NASCAR Xfinity Series?
Last week, Chevrolet released a brand new Camaro that is on it’s way to dealerships across the world. While the 2019 Chevy Camaro SS has just been released, it’s rumored that a new Xfinity machine is already in development.
At the start of the 2018 season, Chevrolet brought a new Camaro to the NASCAR Cup Series. That’s the Camaro ZL1, a different model then the one being discussed.
The new 2019 Camaro SS could find itself on the NASCAR Xfinity Series field. They are rumored to be currently seeking design approval from NASCAR.
Chevrolet reportedly brought a car to the NASCAR R&D Center last week. That was only the production unit of the car.
Chevrolet issued the following statement regarding the possibility of the change:
“Chevrolet does not comment on future projects. If, and when, there is any news on this topic we will share it with everyone when the time is appropriate.”
