The caution is out on lap 20. David Starr lost power. Cole Custer had a near 2 second lead, that’s gone. Nobody at the front heads for the pit lane.

Green, Custer gets the jump. John Hunter Nemechek takes it to the bottom. He takes it easy into turn 1 and slots in behind the leader. Christopher Bell sees an open lane on the high side. Bell is on the gas, he gets to the right rear quarter of Nemechek. Bell sweeps around Nemechek off turn 2.

Lap 32, Christopher Bell is all over the rear bumper of the leader. Custer takes a wide entry to turn 1, he makes a late arc to the bottom. Bell punches the gas and fills in the hole. They come off side by side, Bell makes light contact with the left rear. Custer holds the lead on the outside in turn 3.

Meanwhile, Justin Allgaier and Daniel Hemric are rubbing fenders for the $100,000 Dash for Cash payout. Hemric ran wide off turn 2 and rubbed Allgaier until he bounced off the wall. Everyone continues, light damage for both drivers.

32 to go in stage 1, Bell has been wearing Custer out for 15 laps. Bell runs high into turn 3, he diamonds the exit and cuts under Custer off turn 4. He’s even at the flag stand. Bell pulls ahead on the bottom into turn 1. Custer lifts early, Bell takes the lead.

13 to go in stage 1, the caution is out. Josh Bilicki ran high and got into the wall. Noah Gragson and John Hunter Nemechek hit the pit lane as most of the leaders remain on the race track.

Green, Hemric gets the jump on the bottom. He beat the leader back to the line, NASCAR will likely review the restart. Hemric completes the pass on the bottom off turn 2. Bell comes off the corner with speed. He gives Hemric a bump as he slides in front of him.

No call on the restart. Bell spun his tires and Hemric has a good push from Elliott Sadler.

Green, John Hunter Nemechek leads the field into turn 1. They’re 3 wide behind them as new tires come back to the front. Bell is already up to 7th.

Lap 105, Christopher Bell is up to 3rd. John Hunter Nemechek continues to lead. Nemechek, Gragson and Bell run nose to tail at the front. Bell looks low but can’t complete the pass.

5 to go, Sadler leads Noah Gragson by 0.3 seconds. Bell is fading through the field.

3 to go, Hemric is in the wall off turn 4. He had a right front tire going down for several laps. They’re still green as Hemric limps around the high side of the track.

Stage 3
Richmond Raceway

The field hits the pit lane. Quick stop for Sadler at 14.9. Sadler is first in and first out.

Green, Sadler drives is hard into turn 1, he washes high. Gragson and Bell are underneath him, 3 wide for the lead. Gragson, from the middle, comes off turn 2 with the lead.

Trouble at the back, Justin Allgaier is in trouble. Ryan Reed tried to clear Spencer Gallagher off turn 4. He wasn’t clear and put Spencer in the wall. Gallagher stacked up the field. The accordion effect got Allgaier as Jeb Burton ran into his rear bumper and turned him around. The damage to Allgaier doesn’t look too bad.

Green, Sadler dives to the bottom to make it 3 wide into turn 1. Gragson is forced wide but he comes off the corner with a lot of momentum. Bell dives to the bottom of Gragson in turn 3, Bell wins the race off turn 4. Bell climbs back to the top spot.

45 to go, Bell leads Gragson by 1.3 seconds. Allagier has climbed back up to 9th. Sadler leads the Dash for Cash battle over Allgaier, Sadler runs 3rd.

32 to go, Gragson is closing on Bell. The gap is now 0.3 seconds. Bell just climbed his way through a group of lap cars, Gragson is through them as well.

25 to go, Bell is now maintaining the gap. Both drivers at the front are swapping and exploring their preferred lines.

13 to go, Bell struggles to get around more lappers. He’s through but Gragson is now all over his rear bumper. Battle for the lead, Gagson gives him a light tap in turn 1. I’ll remind you… this is the first Xfinity start for Gragson. Both of these drivers have yellow plated rookie stripes as they battle for the win.

3 to go, Bell has opened the gap back up.
