Rusty Schlenk has dropped off the World of Outlaws Late Model Series tour

Rusty Schlenk drops off WoOLMS tour; Picks up a win at I-96 Speedway

Rusty Schlenk started the season ready to take on the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series tour. He and his Rayburn race car hit the Florida swing and then traveled to WhyNot Motorsports Park on April 20-21.

He only ran 4 races with the tour due to the entire month of March being postponed. Of the 4 races he ran with the tour, he had a best finish of 20th. That result came on the April 20th event at WhyNot Motorsports Park.

After that trip the tour swung to Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN. Schlenk made the announcement the day of the race.

Instead, Schlenk set the GPS for an alternative direction. On Friday night, Schlenk traveled to the opening night at I-96 Speedway where parked the CJ1 car in victory lane!

15 drivers now remain on the WoOLMS tour.

Rusty Schlenk WoO Announcement

Rusty, team, and key marketing partners have made the decision to pull off of the World of Outlaw tour before this weekends events at Smokey Mountain Speedway.

With the tough start to the 2018 season the team feels it would be best to go a different direction for the remainder of 2018.

Rusty will remain driving the CJ1 for the remainder of the season.

Plans for the remainder of 2018 will be announced soon.

Thank you to our great marketing partners for being understanding and allowing us to regroup and tackle the remainder of the 2018 season in a different way.
