Two race winners hit with tire related suspensions

The winner of the first race and the second race of the 2018 NeSmith Touring Series have failed tire tests

Tire samples taken during the April 20th and 21st NeSmith Touring Events at Camden Speedway and North Alabama Speedway have been returned to the NeSmith Racing office. Due to travel and internet issues we were unable to officially post until now.

April 20, 2018: Friday night’s winner at Camden Speedway, Christian Hanger’s Hoosier Crate 21 did NOT meet the manufacturer’s supplied benchmark. Hanger will be disqualified from the win, lose all points and money for the night, serve a 30 day suspension from the date of the event, and will be issued a $500 fine before returning to NeSmith sanctioned action. Second place finisher Cory Hedgecock will be awarded the win.

April 21, 2018: Saturday night’s winner at North Alabama Speedway, Grant Garrison’s Hoosier Crate 21 did NOT meet the manufacturer’s supplied benchmark. Garrison will be disqualified from the win, lose all points and money for the night, serve a 30 day suspension from the date of the event, and will be issued a $500 fine before returning to NeSmith sanctioned action. Second place finisher Evan Ellis will be awarded the win.

All points and money adjustments will be handled during business hours on Monday 4/30/18 between the series and the event venues. Series officials will contact drivers with information regarding this.
