Brandon Kinzer pulls himself from the seat following back issues

Brandon Kinzer is absent from Eldora to rehab ailing back; He ran at Eldora last week to test for the The Dream

Dale McDowell may drive the Kinzer Motorsports machine in the coming months, if scheduling allows

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Following about a month-and-a-half hiatus from the Dirt Late Model scene due to lingering back issues, Brandon Kinzer and Kinzer Motorsports returned to action on Sunday evening, May 27 at the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The American Late Model Series (ALMS) presided over the annual ‘Johnny Appleseed Classic’ at the 1/2-mile speedplant and all eyes were focused on the $3,000 payday in the final tune-up for the upcoming ‘Dirt Late Model Dream.’

Brandon Kinzer clicked off the third fastest lap in his group during time trials prior to slipping to sixth in his heat race. After grabbing the fourth transfer spot through the B-Main, Brandon wound up finishing eighteenth in the final rundown of the 25-lap sprint.

With the same back issues still affecting Brandon throughout the show at Eldora, the decision has been made this week to take a couple more months off to rehab the injury completely and correctly. BK has wiped all races off his schedule for the months of June and July, but his #18 team may not be sitting idle during those months. Dale McDowell may pilot a Kinzer Motorsports entry occasionally in events that his Shane McDowell Racing (SMR) team chooses not to enter.
