Magnolia Motor Speedway results from the Clash at the Mag featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
Tonight, the show will be completed in Columbus, MS. Magnolia Motor Speedway is set for a 100 lap main event that will pay $20,000 to the dirt late model race winner.

There was a brief but hard downpour of rain around 3pm today. Just enough to water the race track and take the job of the water truck. It’s been clear skies ever since!

Earl Pearson Jr, Jimmy Owens and Josh Richards won the heat races last night. Those results set the starting lineups for the final day of the Clash at the Mag.
B Main 1 – Report
Chad Thrash and Spencer Hughes set row one in the only B Main of the night. Green, Thrash leads on the bottom into turn 1.
Lap 3, Chris Wall has moved into 2nd and he’s putting pressure on the leader. Wall can drive it harder into turn 3 but he cant find a way by. 3 laps in a row he drives it to his door into turn 3 but Thrash holds the position off turn 4.
Thrash over a car length, two, three. Thrash wins the B Main.
Main Event – Report
Earl Pearson Jr and Jimmy Owens set row one ahead of the $20,000 to win main event. Four wide salute for the Mississippi crowd and we’re ready to go racing for 100 laps!
Green flag, Owens noses ahead on the outside into turn 1. Owens is clear off turn 2.
Lap 2, the caution is out. Car stopped in turn 1.
Green, Owens is clear. Richards has a look at Pearson for 2nd into turn 1. Pearson holds him off as Richards falls to 4th.
Lap 12, Owens is deep in lap traffic and they’re side by side in front of him. Owens takes it easy into turn 1 in the middle. Pearson gases it for the cushion. Pearson gets to his right rear off turn 2. Owens leaves him room and Pearson drives by on the outside.
Pearson has the same lap traffic issues. He gets held up in turn 2, Owens drives right back to the lead on the bottom. Hudson O’Neal has climbed into this fight as the leaders swap back and fourth. Caution for debris. Pierce heads for the pit area and back out.
Green, Pearson loses 5 positions in turn 1! Owens leads Hudson O’Neal and Mason Zeigler off turn 2.
Lap 21, there’s a fire under the hood on the #40B machine. The caution is out as Kyle Bronson gets a push back to the pit area.
Green, Owens leads into turn 1. Pearson takes them 3 wide and through the middle behind the leader. Pearson is back to 2nd off turn 2. Richards takes the position back quickly.
Lap 26, Richards looks low on the leader off turn 2. Lap 27, he further ahead on the bottom this time. Richards attempts to clear himself to the wall off turn 2. Owens is still there. They rub fenders but continue.
New leader into turn 3, Josh Richards.
Lap 35, Owens is fading quickly. Bloomquist is all over him to break into the top 5, from his 9th starting spot. Bloomquist and Owens both dive for the bottom in turn 3. Bloomquist is to his door. They fight for space. Bloomquist jumps on the brakes and the back end comes around. Bloomquist loops it in turn 3, caution.
Green, Richards leads. McCreadie jumps to the cushion, on the gas he has a run on Pearson off turn 2. Pearson leaves the lane open and McCreadie drives to 2nd on the outside.
Lap 42 Chris Wall has issues in turn 3. The caution is back out. Satterlee and Bloomquist head for the pit area. Both are back out.
Green, Richards leads. McCreadie reclaims 2nd from Pearson.
Lap 50, Josh Richards leads McCreadie by 15 car lengths. Bobby Pierce went to the pit area early in this race, he’s up to 4th!
Lap 53, Owens is around on his own off turn 2. The caution is out. He heads for the pit area. Owens had fallen outside the top 10 after starting on the front row.
Green, Richards leads into turn 1. Pearson takes over 2nd as McCreadie fades. Pierce is running the wall, he’s up to 3rd. Owens makes it back out.
Lap 59, more trouble for Owens. He’s slow on the front. Owens returns to the pit area. Owens doesn’t return.
Green, Richards leads. Pierce is on the throttle around the top in turn 1. He’s not quite to the right rear of Pearson but the #1 leaves him room. Pierce drives by on the outside down the back to take over 2nd.
Richards runs the middle. Pierce is the only car running the top. He’s inches from the outside wall, all the way around. He’s also run down the leader. Pierce is looking for a way by.
Lap 67, Pierce drives it hard to the bottom in turn 1. It’s a slider, Pierce to the lead! Richards cuts under him off turn 2. They run side by side down the back. Caution.
Green, Richards pulls away as Pierce falls to 4th. He makes it all back on exit. Pierce takes Pearson and McCreadie 3 wide off turn 2. Pierce retakes 2nd into turn 3. Richards has pulled away.
McCreadie is back around Pierce.
Lap 83, McCreadie has run down the leader! He’s looking for the lead on the bottom. He pulls to his door.
They run nose to tail and side by side. Lap 90, Richards noses ahead as McCreadie fades rapidly.
Lap 92, Hudson O’Neal and Bobby Pierce are all over the back bumper of Josh Richards. O’Neal to the bottom in turn 1! He makes it stick!
Richards makes a run through the middle in turn 3. Squeezing between a lap car, he can’t hold it on the exit. Hudson O’Neal is clear. Richards gives it one more shot in turn 1, O’Neal holds it once more.
Pierce to 2nd! New threat to the leader. Pierce is coming!
They run nose to tail off the corner! 1 to go, Pierce is there! His run is blocked by a lapper as Hudson O’Neal wins the race to the line!
Hudson O’Neal is doing donuts in turn 3. Father Don O’Neal catches up with his son in victory lane to congratulate him on the win.

From here, the tour takes a brief break ahead of an Ohio swing. Portsmouth Raceway Park will host the LOLMDS on June 30. July 1 they head to Mansfield Motor Speedway. July 2nd will be the postponed event at Sharon Speedway. July 3rd is one of my personal favorites, Muskingum County Speedway.
