Bart Hartman inducted into Midway Speedway Hall of Fame

Hartman joins two more new inductees in the Hall of Fame for 2018

(ZANESVILLE, OHIO) Announced a couple of weeks ago, Bart Hartman was inducted into the 2018 Class of the Midway Speedway Hall of Fame! Online fan voting recently selected Hartman, along with fellow racer Norm Aronhalt and former Midway promoter and competitor Ted Johnson into the Hall of Fame at the Crooksville, Ohio oval. Bart, who started his racing career at Midway, joins his late father Butch Hartman in the track’s Hall of Fame.

“I can’t thank the fans enough for their support in voting me into the Midway Speedway Hall of Fame recently,” exclaimed Hartman via telephone on Wednesday.

“It is quite an honor to join my dad and other legends like Jim Dunn and the other inductees – to be held in that kind of high regard. My first-ever race was at Midway Speedway and the track has always been special to me. Once again I just want to thank all of the fans for their vote online, along with all of the great sponsors and crew help that I had throughout my racing career!”

Following the start to his career at Midway Speedway, Bart went on star in the Super Late Model ranks recording 23 Short Track Auto Racing Stars (STARS) Series wins, 5 World of Outlaws Late Model Series victories, 3 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series triumphs, and 2 Hav-A-Tampa Dirt Racing Series conquests. The Zanesville, Ohio ace also celebrated in victory lane in several crown jewel races including the 2009 ‘World 100,’ the 2009 & 2004 ‘Pittsburgher 100,’ the 2005 ‘North/South 100,’ and the 2001 ‘Dirt Track World Championship.’
