Qualifying – Report
Muskingum County Speedway
Earl Pearson Jr is quickest in hot laps with a 14.994.
Josh Richards went off track in turn 1 during his qualifying run. Kyle Bronson followed him. On the next lap, Bronson went off yet again. Dust clouds everywhere, Devin Moran got to run another lap as Bronson re-entered the race track just in front of him during his final lap.
Richards rebounded to turn the fastest lap in group A. Richards turned a 15.439.
Bloomquist ventured off track in turn 2, same spot. Bobby Pierce is quickest in group B.
Heat 1 – Report
Muskingum County Speedway
Josh Richards and Don O’Neal will line up on the front row for the first heat race of the night. Green, Richards slides O’Neal in turn 1, he leads off turn 2.
Richards opens up the gap by a few car lengths. Caution, spin in turn 3.
Green, Richards jumps to the top. Don O’Neal runs a lane lower. Richards pulls away once more.
Josh Richards wins the first heat race of the night!
Heat 2 – Report
Muskingum County Speedway
Devin Moran and Mason Zeigler set row one in the second heat race of the night. Green, Moran gets the jump on the outside, he leads into turn 1.
Caution. Green, Moran leads. He opens up a gap of 5 car lengths.
2 to go, Zeigler has closed to within a car length of the lead. He opens it back up off turn 2. Moran cruises to the win.
Heat 3 – Report
Muskingum County Speedway
Bobby Pierce and Earl Pearson Jr trail the pace truck ahead of heat race number 3. Green, Pierce leads on the bottom into turn 1. Satterlee follows him through on the bottom, he runs 2nd.
Pearson, Bloomquist and Davenport run 3 wide for 3rd. Pearson runs over the banking in turn 2. He’s back on, no caution.
Lap 5, Satterlee is looking high for the lead, he’s there! Davenport is looking low, he’s there! 3 wide for the lead into turn 1!
Satterlee hits the cushion in turn 1 and comes out with the lead. Pierce defends 2nd.
Lap 8, Craig Wolford has climbed the hill in turn 2. The caution is out.
Green, Satterlee and Pierce hit the cushion and kick up the dust in turn 1. Satterlee cruises to win heat race number two!
Heat 4 – Report
Muskingum County Speedway
Hudson O’Neal and Darrell Lanigan will lead them to the start in the final heat race of the night. Green, Hudson O’Neal slides him into turn 1. Lanigan crosses him on the exit. False start.
Green, Hudson O’Neal slides him again in turn 1. He holds it off turn 2. O’Neal jumps the cushion in turn 3. Lanigan drives under him. O’Neal enters the track in 2nd. The caution is out for a slow car in turn 2.
Green, O’Neal tries to slide him into turn 1. He can’t clear him. O’Neal is hard on the brakes, 2nd through 5th run bumper to bumper.
Darrell Lanigan checks out. He leads by 10 car lengths. 1 to go, caution!
Green, Hudson O’Neal tries to slide him into turn 1. He can’t clear him, he jumps on the brake pedal as Lanigan holds the high lane.
Lanigan drives away as Hudson O’Neal defends 2nd from Jimmy Owens.
B Main – Report
Muskingum County Speedway
Austin Rettig and Earl Pearson Jr lead the field to the start of the 12 lap B Main. Green, Rettig leads into turn 1. False start.
Green, Pearson leads into turn 1. He hits the cushion and leads off turn 2.
Lap 3, Drown has climbed from 9th to 5th. Car over the banking in turn 4, caution.
Green, Pearson checks out. Drown to 4th. Caution.
Green, caution. Green, caution. Jameson runs 7th. He’s one position from a transfer spot. The crew changed engines today as they realized they cooked the motor.
Green, Jameson is around Cosner for the final transfer spot.
Earl Pearson Jr takes the win. All 14 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series regulars have transferred into the show.
Main Event
Muskingum County Speedway
Josh Richards and Gregg Satterlee trail the pace truck ahead of the 50 lap main event. 4 wide salute and we’re going green.
Green flag, Satterlee and Richards run side by side into turn 1. They’re 3 wide for 3rd behind them. Satterlee takes the lead on the outside off turn 4.
Richards fades.
Lap 10, Satterlee leads by 15 car lengths. Lap cars are side by side in front of him. Lanigan runs 2nd with Pierce on his bumper.
Lap 20, Davenport and Bloomquist are in a charge to the front. They run nose to tail for 7th. Hudson O’Neal is off track in turn 2. He’s back on and we remain green.
Don O’Neal has moved to 3rd and he’s running down his teammate. Satterlee leads by 15 car lengths.
20 to go, Bloomquist is fading quickly.
11 to go, the caution is out. Pearson went off track. Satterlee, Lanigan, Don O’Neal, Pierce and Richards are the top 5.
Green, Don O’Neal goes over the banking in turn 2. He back on, well outside the top 10. No caution. Bloomquist is coasting around at the back.
5 to go, Davenport has moved to 3rd.
