It’s another 50 minute session for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers. There’s a long line of drivers sitting on pit road waiting for the green. They aren’t wasting any time to get the first run in.

This is the last practice ahead of tomorrow’s race.

Joey Logano leads early. 131.10 mph average for Logano. His teammate, Brad Keselowski sits 2nd on the board.

45 minutes remain, Kyle Larson had tagged the wall. He went out and didn’t turn a lap. Light damage on the right rear as he ran out of race track on the corner exit.

38 minutes to go, Michael McDowell is hard in the wall in turn 3. He looped before impact with the wall. He hit drivers on the side door. He cut a left rear tire.

“I’m not really sure what happened. I just got down into turn 3 and got really loose. Unfortunately, we’ll have to roll out the backup. But, thankful to walk away from it, McDowell told NBC Sports after exiting the infield care center.

Practice sits under the red flag but the clock continued to run.

Denny Hamlin will serve a 15 minute penalty at the end of this session. He’s the last one that wants to see the clock ticking away. He’s not the only one, the entire pit lane is lined up with cars trying to get back on the track.

24 minutes remain, the green flag is back out on the session. NASCAR has extended the session by 5 minutes. The red flag last 14 minutes.

22 minutes remain, Denny Hamlin sits at the top of the board. He’s going to run until NASCAR pulls him in.

15 minutes remain, Kevin Harvick sits at the top of the times sheet. He didn’t make the final round of qualifying yesterday. Don’t let that confuse you, he’s still freaky fast.

9 minutes remain, Landon Cassill is in the wall. He slammed the outside barrier going into the corner. The car stepped out and he chased it into the wall.

“I tried to put some front brake in it,” Cassill says over the radio.

2 minutes and 30 seconds remain, Martin Truex Jr jumps to the top. The big three sit 1st, 2nd and 3rd as practice comes to a close.
