Stage 1

60 Laps:

Green flag, Busch and Hamlin run even into turn 1. Ryan Newman jumps to the high side. He’s on the gas as they take it easy on the bottom. Hamlin leads off turn one, Kyle Busch runs 2nd and Newman slots in 3rd.

Lap 9, Erik Jones is around off turn 4. He slides through the triple-oval grass. “I think it’s just the hard tires on this race track,” Jones was complaining of handling issues via radio just before the spin.

Green, Kyle Busch side drafts Hamlin at the line. Busch noses ahead and cuts all the way to the bottom so Hamlin can’t side draft back. However, Busch has a narrow entry into turn 1. He drives up the hill and crosses over and out of the groove. Harvick followed Busch by Hamlin on the bottom. Harvick has a run on the leader off the corner but Busch holds the lead.
