Kasey Kahne note:

“I’ve had to let it sink in for a few days that we won the Knoxville Nationals. To be able to watch your best friend drive the race of his life and beat the toughest competitors was a dream come true.”

“The emotion was so real and the happiness shared by everyone at KKR and to see the sold out crowd with all the fans on their feet was a once in a lifetime experience.”

“What this team overcame to win the race was unreal. The water line got a hole in it during engine heat and while pushing out to driver intros they noticed all the brake fluid leaking out on the track.”

“The team never quit and through all that still managed to dominate and bring home our first ever Knoxville Nationals win. I couldn’t be prouder of each and every person the puts in time and effort to make this dream that started in 2003 keep becoming a reality.”

“Special thanks to NAPA Auto Parts, Curb Records, Team ASE, Factory Kahne, Rob Cappetta Engines, Valvoline and all the fans cheering.”
