15 minutes: Top 24 advance
Most of the field is waiting it out early. Landon Cassill is the lone car to got out and clean off the race track.
5 minutes remain, 20 cars have turned a lap. Ricky Stenhouse Jr sits at the top of the board. He just turned the fastest lap of the weekend so far.
1 minute remains, Denny Hamlin is bumped out of the top 24. Hamlin will have to return to the track for another run. Hamlin didn’t get to turn any qualifying run in practice as his run was blocked by Clint Bowyer in final practice. Hamlin moves into the top 10, he’ll advance.
Kyle Larson wins round 1 of knockout qualifying at Bristol.

4 minute remain, no cars have turned a lap. Kyle Larson has had enough. Larson drives through the middle of both lines of cars at the end of pit road. Larson runs two laps. He’s just slightly slower in round two with a 15.034.
Alex Bowman scrapes the wall. He still turns a 15.372. That might be enough to advance.
Kyle Busch has an error from behind the wheel. He messed up his money lap and is forced to run another. He jumps to 3rd.
