Charlotte Roval practice times for the NASCAR Xfinity Series on Thursday, September 27, 2018
The Charlotte Roval is here!
Today, the NASCAR Xfinity Series entered Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. For the first time, drivers were on hand for an official practice session at NASCAR’s newest race track, The Roval.

Today’s session on the new road course was optional. However, 27 teams entered the grounds with anticipation of turning laps on the 2.4 mile, 18 turn layout. 25 of those drivers actually completed a lap.
At sessions end, Austin Cindric sat at the top of the board with a practice time of 79.998. He was nearly a full second quicker than the second place runner of Austin Cindric.
Ross Chastain turned 3 laps today. He was at the bottom of the board with a 90.707. The race leader was over 10 second quicker. Though, it’s a new track and 3 laps isn’t near enough time to learn a new race track. But, I still think it’s interesting to see that large of a gap between the front and the back of the field.
The cars will return to the new NASCAR track tomorrow.
