NASCAR Truck Series race results from Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 16, 2018

Tonight, the NASCAR Trucks will race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The first NASCAR champion of weekend will be crowned at the checkered flag.

Grant Enfinger and Stewart Friesen lead them to the green flag. It’s a 200-mile, 134 lap race to determine the NASCAR Truck Series champion.

Stage 1
Homestead Truck Race

Laps: 30

Green flag, Enfinger gets the jump on the outside lane. Haley is on the right rear of Friesen off turn two. Haley takes 2nd as they run 3 wide deep in the top 10.

Lap 2, Haley has a run on Enfinger off turn two. He looks to the bottom in turn one. Enfinger pinches him and holds the position off the corner.

4 to go in stage 1, Enfinger drove away early in this stage. The leader is now working lap traffic and the field is closing. Noah Gragson has closed to within 1.4 seconds of Enfinger.

Stage 2
Homestead Truck Race

Laps: 30

The field heads to the pit lane. Matt Crafton is the first truck to the pit exit. Enfinger falls to 4th. Everyone took four new tires.

Green flag on stage two, Enfinger gives a push to Crafton and that gets him sideways. Crafton was backing up the field before the green. They fan out 4 wide behind them as Gragson leads into turn one.

Lap 39, Crafton drives to the bottom and slides up the banking. He’s clear of Gragson. But, Moffitt is coming in a hurry. Moffitt takes it to the bottom in turn three. he’s nearly clear off turn four and completes the pass back in turn one.

5 to go in stage two, Moffitt leads Gragson by 1.5 seconds.

Stage 3

Laps: 74

The field returns to the pit lane. Moffitt is first in and first off.

Green flag on the final stage, Gragson noses ahead on the bottom at the entry to turn one. Moffitt has a run through the center. Gragson jumps from the bottom to the top and takes that lane away.

Lap 75, Brett Moffitt is closing on the leader. Moffitt runs the top. Gragson runs the bottom. As the gap closes, Gragson moves to the middle. Lap 76, Moffitt is on his bumper. Moffitt drives it deeper on entry, Gragson has more momentum off the corners.

lap 85, Moffitt is nearly clear off turn two. Gragson fills the hole at the last second to hold the leas. They continue to run side by side. Both of these drivers are racing for the championship.

“Let him burn his stuff up,” the #18 team radios to Gragson.

Moffitt continues to dive to the bottom and pull even with Gragson. Every time, Gragson drives back around on the outside as they head off the corner. Enfinger is closing on both of them.

Lap 93, Moffitt has burned off his tires. Gragson is driving away. Moffitt is sideways off the corner.

Lap 98, Moffitt moves back to the bottom. He’s climbing back to the bumper of Gragson. Moffitt drives it deep on the bottom. He clears him and moves to the wall off the corner.

Gragson crosses him. He drives it deep the bottom in turn one. He clears him. Moffitt crosses under him. He uses the lap trucks as a pick and completes the pass. Moffitt finally takes the lead.

Lap 100, Gragson thinks he has a flat times. Lap 101, Gragson heads to the pit lane. Lap 102, Moffitt and Enfinger head for the pits as well.

Lap 106, the pit stop cycle is complete. Moffitt leads Enfinger by 1.8 seconds. Gragson runs 3rd by he’s 5 full second back of the leader.

10 to go, Moffitt leads Enfinger by over two seconds. Gragson was closing, he’s since lost pace to both drivers ahead.

5 to go, Moffitt leads by 1.6 seconds. Twelve trucks are on the lead lap.
