Smoky Mountain Speedway releases exciting 2019 dirt racing schedule
The New Smoky Mountain Speedway is under the sole ownership of Roger Sellers
Maryville, Tennessee – Smoky Mountain Speedway has announced the 2019 schedule of events. Under the sole ownership of Roger Sellers, the 4/10-mile dirt oval will host ten total events in 2019 with bigger purses and more variety added to the schedule.
In addition to a number of national and regional racing series visiting the Maryville, Tennessee track, Smoky Mountain Speedway will also host a mini-series for limited late models and for the sportsman late models. Rules and specific details for those will be released soon.
The 2019 season kicks off with the 6th annual Tennessee Tip-Off on Saturday, March 9 when the World of Outlaws Late Model Series returns for a one-day, $12,000 to win race. The limited late models and the Kajun Mini Stocks will also race for $1,500 to win each.
A busy month of April starts off with the return of Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals for the $10,000 to win Smoky Mountain Spring Showdown. The Southern All-Stars and the USCS sprint cars will visit on Friday, April 26.
For motorcycle fans, the Harley Hooligan race presented by Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson will be at Smoky Mountain Speedway on May 3 and 4. Practice takes place on Friday, May 3 and the Hooligan racing takes place on Saturday, May 4.
The annual stop for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Smoky Mountain Speedway is on Saturday, June 15 for the Big Daddy 75. This year’s race will pay $15,000 to win. Limited late models for $1,200 to win and sportsman late models for $800 to win will accompany the LOLMDS.
Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals will make its annual visit on Tuesday, July 16 for a $3,500 to win race. Smoky Mountain Speedway will host the debut race for the Schaeffer’s Fall Nationals on Friday, August 16 for $4,000 to win.
The 2019 season will cap off on Saturday, September 28 with the King of the Mountain Fall Classic. The Southern All-Stars highlight the racing activity with a $7,500 to win race. Kajun Mini Stocks, limited late models, and sportsman late models will also be racing.
