The front row for Sunday’s Daytona 500 is already set. William Byron and Alex Bowman will lead them to the green.
Tonight, the rest of the field for Sunday’s race will be set formed based on finishing positions in each duel race at Daytona. Duel 1 sets the inside line. Duel 2 sets the outside line.
Daytona Duels TV Schedule: The Duel 1 will start at 7pm. Duel 2 will start at 8:45pm.
How the Daytona Duel fields are set: 1. The odd number cars from Daytona 500 qualifying land in duel 1 (1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th). The even numbered qualifiers set duel two.
Non-charter teams already locked into the Daytona 500: Tyler Reddick and Casey Mears. These drivers topped all the other non-charter drivers in qualifying. That’s locked them into the race.
Non-charter teams not locked into the Daytona 500: Ryan Truex, Parker Kligerman, Brendan Gaughan and Joey Gase. Two of these drivers will head home after the completion of the duels based on their finishing position.
