Today, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series unloads at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The 1.5-mile oval hosts the Pennzoil 400.

Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin lead them to the starting line. It’s a 267-lap event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 80

Green flag, Hamlin noses ahead on the bottom in turn one. Harvick fights back on the outside into turn three. Harvick takes the lead off turn four. They run three wide behind them.

Lap 15, Austin Dillon has climbed to 2nd.

Lap 35, Harvick is driving away. He leads Hamlin by 4.2 seconds. Multiple drivers are fighting handling issues across the field. Dillon has fallen to 7th.

Stage 1
Pit Cycle

Lap 42, the green flag pit cycle has begun. Lap 43, Hamlin pits from 2nd. Lap 45, Harvick pits from the lead.

Penalty: Larson had too many men over the wall. Laps later, Austin Dillon had been handed the same penalty. Dillon’s crew member reached over the wall to pick something off the ground. Touching the ground, makes it too many men over the wall.

Lap 63, the pit cycle is complete. Harvick leads Kyle Busch by 4.5 seconds.

Lap 65, Stenhouse Jr and Erik Jones are trading paint inside the top-5. Jones went to the apron through the tri-oval. Stenhouse pinched him at the entry to turn one to work the side draft. They banged fenders, minor damage to both.

Harvick cruises to the win in stage 1 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 80

The field heads to the pit lane. Harvick is first in and out third. Keselowski is the lone car to gamble with two tires, he’ll lead them to the restart.

Green flag on stage two, Joey Logano gives a push to Keselowski on the outside line. They lead off turn two.

Lap 93, Keselowski holds the lead. The field is stacking bumper to bumper behind him. Keselowski is a bit slower than the cars behind him with just two fresh tires.

Lap 95, Logano heads to the top in turn one. He’s got a run off the corner. Keselowski closes the door. That stalls the momentum for Logano, Busch cuts to the bottom to take over 2nd. Logano takes it right back.

Lap 97, Logano is at the right rear of Keselowski into turn one, clear. Logano pulls Busch with him.

Lap 113, Logano gets stalled out behind lap traffic through the tri-oval. Kyle Busch cuts it three wide to the apron. He overdrives the entry to turn one but he takes the lead. The corner exit speed suffers and Logano crosses him on the exit to retake the lead into turn three.

Lap 121, Logano is stuck in traffic again. Busch slides him again. Logano drives it hard to the bottom in turn three. He pulls to the number of Busch but can’t hold it on the bottom. That runs Busch wide and he nearly tags the wall.

Stage 2
Pit Cycle

Lap 126, Logano heads for the pit lane.

Lap 129, Kyle Busch heads for the pit lane. He locks up the brakes at pit entry.

Penalty: Too fast on pit entry for Kyle Busch. Pass through penalty.

15 to go in stage 2, Byron remain on the track. He’s the only car that hasn’t pitted. Lap 150, Byron puts for fuel only. He passes the lead back to Joey Logano.

Final lap in stage two. Logano is crusies behind the teammate of Ryan Blaney. Harvick is closing quickly.

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 167

The field heads to the pit lane. Logano is first on and first off. Kurt Busch stays out.

Green flag on stage three, Logano side drafts into turn one. Harvick gives him a huge push off turn two.

Three laps later, they remain side by side at the front. Keselwoski is looking to lane three for speed. Harvick gives a push to Kurt Busch, he’s clear of Logano on the outside.

Lap 175, Harvick is on the bumper of Kurt Busch.

80 to go, Harvcik has a run off turn four. He looks to the inside of Kurt Busch, he’s clear. Harvick takes the lead.

Logano is running down the leader. He’s found speed right against the outside wall. Harvick continues to run the bottom. Logano has a run off turn four, he takes the lead and drops to the bottom in turn one.

Stage 3
Pit cycle

53 to go, green flag stops are underway. Almirola and Elliott hit the pits first. 51 to go, Logano and Harvick pit together.

40 to go, Austin Dillon heads to the pit lane. The cycle is complete and Joey Logano returns to the lead.

28 to go, Brad Keselowski closes on Logano. He drives it deep in turn three. He slides him, clear off turn four. Keselowski takes the lead.

25 to go, Logano is fighting for the lead. Keselowski has lap traffic ahead on the high side. Logano drops to the bottom. They run side by side. Logano returns the slide in turn four and takes the lead.

23 to go, Keselowski slides Logano once again. Logano crosses him off the corner. Harvick is coming.

5 to go, Logano leads Keselowski by 0.8 seconds. Harvick is sliding backward through the scoreboard. Kyle Busch is coming to the front, he’s running 3rd.

4 to go, Logano leads Keseloowski by 0.5 seconds. Both cars run inches from the outside wall.

2 to go, Logano leads Keselowski by 0.3 seconds. Final lap, Keselowski is closing! He drives it deep to the bottom in turn three. He pulls even! Logano powers by around off the corner as he nearly touches the wall.
