NASCAR rolls into Las Vegas Motor Speedway

A lot of race fans have landed in Sin City. What are the odds for the NASCAR race this weekend?

Kyle Busch is going for the weekend sweep in Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He’s done that twice, both times it was at Bristol Motor Speedway. Now, he’s looking to do the same at his home race track.

Busch won the NACSAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race on Friday. On Saturday, he went a lap down in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He still came back to win the race, holding off a late charge from Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick and John Hunter Nemechek.

Kyle Busch has won at every race track on the schedule. He’s a safe bet anywhere. But, he now has added motivation to complete the sweep.

Kevin Harvick was the odds on favorite to win this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He’s the defending winner at LVMS. However, following final practice his 5.5-1 odds dropped to 10-1.

Harvick will start from the pole. However, he himself stated that he didn’t have the fastest car. He stacked up 15th in the first practice and 29th in final practice.

Jimmie Johnson also sits at 30-1 odds. He’s a four time winner at this track. His last win came in 2010.

Richard Childress Racing has shown speed this weekend. Austin Dillon has swept both practice sessions. However, he still sits at 30-1 odds. His last win came in the 2018 Daytona 500.

Looking for a long shot at LVMS?

Daniel Hemric is the other portion of the Richard Childress Racing stable. He was 2nd quickest in both practice sessions. 2nd to teammate, Austin Dillon.

Alex Bowman nearly claimed the pole. He missed getting to the line to start his qualifying lap by a fraction of a second. Had he reached the line in time, Bowman would be starting from the pole today.
