It’s windy and sunny in California today. The combination is making the track very slick. A lot of drivers are fighting handling issues in round one.

No driver is fight it more than Caesar Bacarella. He just lost it at the entry to the corner, skated up the hill and tagged the wall during his hot lap.

Single car runs | Run for pole

They’ll hit the track in the reverse order of round one results. Theoretically, each car should be faster than the last.

Kyle Busch was fastest in round one. Can anyone top him in round two. Today, he’s chasing win number 200 which will tie Richard Petty.

Justin Haley is loose in turn three of his lap. He’s the slowest of the three cars thus far.

Drivers are running the wall on their warm up lap. That keeps the RPM’s up. Most drivers are then running a car length of the wall in turn one and the middle to bottom lane in turn three.

“I missed it,” Tyler Reddick radio. Yet, he leads with two cars remaining.

“Sorry,” Christopher Bell says as he sits 3rd so far.

Kyle Busch is the last car to roll. He’s a tenth up heading into turn three. Busch heads to the apron in turn three, he’s the only car to do that. But, Busch is out of the gas, it didn’t stick down there.
