Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 70

Green flag, Kyle Busch spun the tires a bit, he still beat Friesen to the start finish line. Friesen leads on the bottom off turn two. Busch drops behind his bumper.

Lap 8, Friesen cooks the entry to the corner. He skates up the track as Busch works to his inside. They run side by side for the lead. Busch takes the position.

Lap 37, Sheldon Creed has been holding up a line of trucks since the green. Todd Gilliland gives him the bumper. Lap 40, Austin Hill also gives him the bumper.

“I will remember that,” Creed radio.

8 to go in stage 1, Gus Dean is slow in the outside lane. He blew an engine. The caution is out late in stage 1.

Kyle Busch wins stage 1 under yellow.

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 70

Kyle Busch leads the field to the pit lane. Johnny Sauter was changing to the front early. He now sits on the pit lane with the hood up as the team chases an issue. Busch is first in and first off.

Green flag on stage 2, Busch leads into turn one. Austin Hill takes over 2nd.

Lap 90, Ross Chastain has taken over the runner-up spot. He running down the race leader in a hurry.

Lap 117, Daniel Sassnet is around! Kyle Busch heads to the pit lane. Many will stay out.

Green flag, Friesen leads. Chastain pinches Moffitt off turn two. He takes the 2nd position as Moffitt gets sideways and collects it.

10 to go in stage two, Chastain in on the bumper of Friesen for the lead. Friesen throws the block. Chastain gets into his bumper off turn four. Chastain leads back into turn one.

Ross Chastain takes the win in stage two! That’s his first stage win in the NGOTS.

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 110

Chastain, Rhodes and Busch stay out. Friesen leads the takers to the pit lane.

Green flag on stage three, Chastain is clear off turn two. Rhodes wheel hops into turn three but holds 2nd.

Lap 154, Rhodes gets a run off turn four. He looks to the inside in turn one. Chastain holds him off on the top.

Moffitt is all over the bumper of Enfinger for 15th. He pushes him into the corner and takes the position. Enfinger pushes him into turn one and retakes that spot.

72 to go, Kyle Busch is on the bumper of Ross Chastain. Lap traffic sits just ahead. Busch looks to the outside in turn one. He pulls even! Lap cars run side by side ahead. They slice through the lappers, Chastain holds the lead.

67 to go, Chastain takes a wide entry to turn three. Busch fills the inside lane. They run side by side once again. Busch completes the pass.

64 to go, Johnny Sauter has a flat tire. He was 4th. They field remains green. 62 to go, Sassnet is around, the caution is out.

Some cars hit the pit lane.

52 to go

52 laps to go. The green flag is back out. Busch is clear of Chastain off turn two.

40 to go, Corey Roper is around. The caution is back out.

Green flag, Busch leads as Rhodes and Moffitt fight for 2nd. Rhodes throws the block in turn three. Moffitt gets sideways and he falls to 5th.

10 to go

10 to go, Kyle Busch leads Ben Rhodes by 1.4 seconds.

9 to go, Tyler Dippel is around. He had some major help.

That caution is going to setup a short shootout to the finish. Busch will lead Rhodes to the restart with just 3 to go.

Green flag, Busch leads off turn two. Rhodes holds 2nd. Moffitt throws a big block on Friesen.

Car around behind the leaders. Kyle Busch takes the win at Martinsville Speedway under caution!
