Following a test, the superspeedway NASCAR package has been adjusted
NASCAR has issued a few changes to the superspeedway rules package for 2019. The changes will take action in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series division.
The Daytona 500 was won by Denny Hamlin back in February. Yet, the 2019 rules package has yet to be showcased on superspeedways. The 2019 Daytona 500 was completed using the 2018 rules package which also included a restrictor plate.
Following that race, NASCAR hosted a test session at the 2.5-mile track with the upcoming 2019 rules package. Despite the increase in downforce, the speeds were higher than expected.
