Chase Elliott took the pole in the final round of qualifying. Ryan Blaney set the track record in round two of qualifying. Those two cars are quickest in single laps. But, who’s going to be quick for the duration of a 500-lap, 250-mile race?
No driver ran 10 consecutive laps in the opening round of practice. That session was spent in qualifying trim for most of the field.
Kevin Harvick had the best 10-lap average in practice two. Kyle Busch was quickest in a 10-lap run in final practice.
Additionally, Kevin Harvick was quickest in 30-lap runs following the final practice session.
