Joey Logano collected 26 top-10’s during the 2018 NASCAR season. He won three races, including the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The #22 team is now the defending series champions.

On Tuesday, Joey Logano and Team Penske traveled to Washington, DC. The 2018 NASCAR champions were invited to visit President Donald Trump at the White House.

It’s an annual trip made by the most recent NASCAR champions.

“A friend of mine for a long time. I won’t say how long because it will tell about our age and we don’t want to discuss that. But, we’ve been friends for a long time. I know a lot about Roger. Too much, I know too much about Roger,” Trump said of NASCAR team owner Roger Penske.

Joey Logano stood alongside Donald Trump and Roger Penske as the President welcomed the team. Joey Logano’s wife, Brittany Baca sat in the crowd. She was invited to the podium by Donald Trump to stand alongside her husband.

“With Champions like you, I am confident that NASCAR will continue to excite and inspire millions. I’m a fan. And I have friends that know every driver, every car, every number.”

“We have 500 members Mr. President back in Moorseville. And 60,000 Penske Corporation employees that thank you. To have us here today as part of this celebration.”

“I want to thank the France family and the team at NASCAR. To give us these stadiums around the country, so we can compete.”

Joey Logano speaks from the White House

“It’s such an honor to be speaking here. I kinda gotta pinch myself to think about what I’m doing here right now,” Logano said as he was introduced to the podium.

“Like Roger and Mr. President said, it takes an amazing team to make that happen. Today, we had quite the experience to see your team. The team that makes our amazing country be what it is.”

“This is a great reminder and I’m sure I’m speaking for my whole team, of what goes into our great country, our freedom and everyone that’s fought for that.”

“I need to thank the military and our leaders, who give us the opportunity to go out there and do what we love everyday. Whether it’s driving race cars, watching it or whatever you’re into. We get to do that because we live in an amazing country.”

“I still can’t get over my car sitting here in front of the White House.”
