Stage 1
Dover Truck Race – Report

Laps: 45

Green, they run side by side through turn one. A truck scraps the wall behind them as he gets loose off turn two but they all continue.

Lap 7, Matt Crafton started at the tail. He’s just cracked the top 15.

Lap 26, Johnny Sauter has begun to run down the race leader. It’s short lived, Moffitt opens the gap once more.

2 to go in stage one, Matt Crafton is all over the bumper of Ben Rhodes to grab the final points position. He’s around, Crafton drives to 10th.

Brett Moffitt takes the win in stage 1!

Stage 2
Dover Truck Race – Report

Laps: 45

The field heads to the pit lane. Moffitt is first in an first off. Sheldon Creed left his pit stall first but Moffitt had his tach set closer to the speed limit, he drove by him as they rolled down the pit lane.

Pit Road Penalties: Todd Gilliland was too fast exiting. Ross Chastain had a man over the wall too soon. Derek Kraus and Tyler Ankrum each had an uncontrolled tire.

Green on stage two, they run even through turn one. Creed can’t hold the bottom in turn three. Moffitt drives up the track to give him room, Moffitt takes the lead off turn four.

Lap 75, Stewart Friesen is in a mess just outside of the top 10. First he got loose of the corner. Then, they were near wrecking in front of him. He jumps on the brakes and they split him, loosing more positions.

Lap 80, the leader is deep in lap traffic. The lap cars run side by side ahead of them. Moffitt drives to lane three at the top to find a way by, Creed follows. Johnny Sauter sticks with the bottom lane, he drives by both to take the lead.

Stage 3
Dover Truck Race – Report

Laps: 110

Matt Craftom is on the closed pit lane with trouble. The hood is up on his machine with an RPM issue. A plug wire had fallen off, the crew just fixed it.

Pit road is open, the field hits the lane. Sauter is first in, Sheldon Creed is first off.

Green flag on stage three, Creed noses ahead on the outside in turn one. Jesse Little scraps the wall behind them off turn three.

Lap 112, Korbin Forrister is sideways off turn four. He slides down the banking and into the inside wall. He’s going off on the hook as the caution is out.

Green, Creed spins the tires on the inside lane. Harrison Burton looks inside of Moffitt. They run three wide into turn one! The maintain three wide off the corner and into turn three.

Burton noses ahead on the bottom lane. Moffitt crosses him and he looks to make it three wide on the bottom back into turn one, Moffitt lifts. Creed carries the high side momentum around the top and takes the lead.

Lap 148, Harrison Burton has run down the race leader in a hurry. He cuts to the bottom of Creed. They run side by side but Creed holds him off.

47 to go

47 to go, Austin Wayne Self loops it off turn four. He he corrects he cuts it back to the right, directly in the path of Todd Gilliland. Self is parker against the inside wall and the caution is back out.

The field heads to the pit lane. Two tires for Rhodes and gas only for Friesen. Creed will restart in third.

Green, Rhodes gets the jump on the outside as Friesen spins his old tires on the inside lane. That stacks up the field as they split him.

Creed is around off turn two! He slides across the back stetch and clips Todd Gilliland. Heavy damage for both of those cars.

Green, Ben Rhodes is clear before turn one. Burton follows him through to take 2nd.

32 to go, Sauter looks to the outside of Burton and drives right by for 2nd. He’s still on the outside in turn one, Sauter clicks to the lead with ease in turn one. Rhodes is dropping quickly with just the two tire change.

10 to go

10 to go, Brennan Poole is in the wall! The caution is out.

It’s a short 5 lap shootout. Green, Moffitt drives it deep to the bottom in turn one. Sauter holds off on the outside lane.

Johnny Sauter is opening the gap. He’s the truck race winner at Dover International Speedway!
