Dover Race Information: Monday showing for NASCAR

Dover TV schedule and more info the Monday race

Yesterday, the green flag was scheduled to drop at Dover International Speedway. We saw a two hour weather delay before cars rolled onto the race track.

As soon as cars rolled onto the track, weather moved into the area once more and put a hold on those plans. NASCAR called to the race.

Today, NASCAR is set to race on a Monday in Dover, Delaware. View the Dover tv schedule and more below.

Speeds: The speeds are up, way up. The new rules package has added significant downforce. At the same time, they have unrestricted horsepower at tracks under 1-mile.

They are going about the same speed down the front and back straights. The increase is mostly in the corners. 24 degrees of banking with added downforce and left drivers in the throttle well before the apex of the corner.

The track record was set in qualifying by Chase Elliott.

Given the speeds, it’s left some drivers wondering if the race is too fast? Kyle Busch commented on the speeds on Friday calling it ‘dangerously fast’.
